Fruit was sourced from our Jaensches Vineyard and wild fermented in an open fermenter, where it was hand plunged over 4 days before it was fortified with 8 year old Brandy spirit. After spending some time in barrel to settle out, the wine was gravity fed and hand bottled, hand waxed and hand labeled. Yes this wine has indeed been hand made from start to finish and deserves to be enjoyed with family and friends at the end of an evening.
You will love the over the top aromas that you get when you open a bottle of VP Shiraz. ….This Vintage Port is really starting to show secondary characteristics as the 5 years in bottle have developed some earthy, nutty characters to go with its ripe cherries and plums.
It is smooth and dense with a large tannin profile… It is really starting to hit its straps.
Like all VP’s it is made to age in the bottle, but when you crack one open with friends try it with a platter of cheeses, nuts, dark chocolate, figs and dates.
